Breathe Beauty In | Duluth, Minnesota

Just about every day I sift through my collections in Lightroom, edit and cull. I decide which ones my audience will like, after all, this business is a piece of you and a piece of me. And then there are some images I keep just for me. My own personal view. Only me and me alone.

Don't let anyone tell you that your beauty is anything but. We all have our own taste in art and sight, it shifts and changes by the day. Don't forget to take in the beauty of YOUR every day.

Did you find something so wonderful today? Did you see a sight so delicate or simple? Intricate or strong? Stop to take it in. I mean it. Stop dead in your tracks and get off of your phone, stop your business call, put your "important" work away and breathe. Take it all in if only for a moment.

Did the breeze blow just so, that it took your very breathe away? Don't keep on your way. Let your hard shell crack for a moment and allow it to move you to tears if you want. We don't have to stay serious or busy. We're human. We're emotional. Allow yourself to experience.

Our lives are but dust, here one moment and gone the next. Don't say you'll do it tomorrow. Do it today. Take in the beauty. Literally stop to smell the roses, please do! Make eye contact with a stranger and smile. Sip your coffee in front of a window. And if you're reading from Duluth/Twin Ports, Minnesota area this morning, you saw the most beautiful, fluffy snow flakes floating lazily through the air.

Now as I type the sun is coming out to melt the little flakes that fell. They too were just a vapor.

Be encouraged, my dear, awesome, unique, wonderful readers and friends. Beauty is all around you. Don't miss it. Don't ignore it. Take the time.

You have made my days a mere handbreadth;
the span of my years is as nothing before you.
Each man's life is but a breath.

Man is a mere phantom as he goes to and fro:
He bustles about, but only in vain;
he heaps up wealth,
not knowing who will get it.

But now, Lord, what do I look for?
My hope is in you.
Psalm 39: 5-7

the end.
